Terms and conditions of the Officer's Ball

Goal

This website is intended to provide information on the Officer's Ball as well as booking tickets and make seat/table reservations online.

The information given on this website is being carefully checked and regularly updated. No responsibility is taken with regard to the completeness, up-todateness and accuracy of the information provided within these web pages. Subject to alterations; errors excepted. Access to, and use of, the website as well as the information contained therein or referred to are exclusively subject to the user. Data protection

Personal data, such as name, telephone, fax number or e-mail address, required for bookings or enquiries will be used exclusively for the purposes stated above and will neither be passed on to third parties nor kept on record beyond the framework of the individual transaction, except for future invitations to the Officers. Ticket bookings will be done in the encrypted SSL (Secret Socket Layer) mode. During the transfer, the data is encrypted and not legible for third parties. When the system works in the SSL mode, the URL will automatically switch from http:// to https://.

Ticket orders via internet

are binding. After receiving your booking request we will send you a notice whether your request can be fulfilled. The ticket price will be charged using available payment methods (see chapter payment methods). Please note that cancelling the order at a later stage is not possible. When ordering by internet the seats may be selected personally within the desired price category. Should the desired price category not be available anymore, you will be informed about this as well as possible alternatives.

Exclusion from liability

Should technical, organisational or other reasons be the cause why it is not possible to provide the reserved and paid tickets, the Ball Office will return the full ticket price together with any fees paid without reduction. The Ball Office, however, is not liable for expenses that are directly or indirectly connected to a booking, which is no longer valid (f.i. no refund for travel cancellation costs).

Picking up tickets and ticket delivery

Unless stated otherwise, the reserved tickets are to be picked up at the Ball Office of the Alumni Association Alt-Neustadt, located on Schwarzenbergplatz 1, 1010 Vienna, at the times stated on its homepage www.ballderoffiziere.at. No responsibility is taken for tickets that have been sent and lost by post. Alternatively tickets may also be picked up at the ticket office of Hofburg Vienna during the day or on the night when the event is held. Upon your express request, the tickets may also be sent by post to the address stated in the order for a post and handling charge.

Giving back tickets

is not possible on principle. Paid tickets cannot be exchanged or given back. There will be no refund for partly used tickets (due to arriving late) or tickets however lost.

Cancellation or postponement

The Ball Office is not obliged to inform ticket holders about a possible cancellation/delay/postponement of the event (exclusively due to national-political or military reasons). Nevertheless, we will try to inform all customers in case of such an event. We will, under no circumstance, take responsibility for travel, hotel or any other expenses if the ball is cancelled, delayed or postponed. If the Ball is cancelled, ticket refund can only be requested directly from the organiser (Alumni Association Alt-Neustadt, same address as above). Fees for advance ticket booking or post and handling charges will not be refunded if the ball is cancelled, because the Office has fulfilled its service.

Our prices

The Ball Office is responsible for making reservations for, booking, sending and/or making available tickets in advance. The prices given on the Officers. Ball website or via telephone are all-inclusive prices, including fees and value-added tax. There are no further costs, except those for sending tickets by post.
